General Code of Conduct

To help all Task Force members and prospective members understand the cultural and operational norms of Task Force Trident, the following Code of Conduct was established.  These articles can be summarized in two statements:

Fun Through Realism

Respect, Above All

Article I

It is expected that all members of Task Force Trident will treat each other with respect, at all times.  There is always a place for good-natured bantering; however, all members are expected to take care to think before posting or speaking out of anger, frustration, or mean-spiritedness.  Personal attacks will never be justified or tolerated.  Fair and transparent warnings will be provided to members who display behavior or communication deemed disrespectful or degrading from the good order of the community.  Task Force Leadership maintains the right to dismiss any member, at any time, and for any reason - but will never do so without cause, nor without communicating first with the involved parties.

Article II

Task Force Trident strives to simulate U.S. air operations within the DCS World environment.  To help foster the highest level of immersion and realism, we expect pilots to operate their aircraft from a cold start condition.  Moreover, it is expected that pilots take the time to review training and briefing materials prior to community functions to ensure they understand the objectives, timelines, and key actions that must take place.  Briefings will be provided before all trainings and operations; however, these are meant to review the plan and answer questions and should never be the first time a pilot is reviewing the information.

Article III

Task Force Trident benefits from the personal knowledge and experience of active and retired military members and leadership with years of real-life leadership at some of the world's most recognized organizations.  Task Force Trident utilizes open-source publications to help inform our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).  There is always room for discussion and questions are always welcome; however, members must accept that we will utilize a combination of open-source documentation and practicality within DCS to formulate our SOPs & TTPs and we may not change our ways of working simply because of the opinions, ideas, or desires of others.

Article IV

Task Force Trident is an SOP & TTP-driven organization that strives to establish a standard that all members may learn and execute.  This method is not used to be restrictive, but rather because it is realistic and allows all members of the task force to learn what is expected of one another in the combat environment.  Pilots must understand that departures from SOP & TTP will be constructively debriefed following flight events to help all members of Task Force Trident become more proficient in mission execution.  These debriefs foster a culture of learning and help us execute more effectively as a team.
